These were usefully employed all over the world for the conveyance of just about

Non Italian Lambretta’s
Wherever manufactured, all models produced outside of Italy were based on the original Innocenti designs as described under Lambretta Models.
From 1952 many Lambretta models were produced by an affiliate company (Lambretta Locomociones later known as Servetta), in Spain right up to the early 1980’s.
These versions of the Italian original generally had small differences in the engineering and some much bigger differences in the styling. Domestic sales were very good and a large number were exported around the globe. Some of the later ones even finding their way to the UK. A large number of surviving models can still be found.
A small range of the earlier Lambretta models adapted for local taste were produced under licence in both France and Germany. Examples of these are very rare and difficult to locate.
South America represented the biggest market outside of Europe for Lambretta scooters
and was produced in four countries, Argentine, Brazil, Chile and Columbia from the
1950’s to the 1970’s. The history of these enterprises is very hazy and records not

Although Lambretta’s had been built under licence for some years, it was the aquisition
of the entire factory set-
The entire output of the newly formed company SIL, (Scooters India Ltd), was based on the GP range and is manufactured to this day with many examples finding their way to the UK. Over the years many alterations have been made to the original specification.
Style
It is fact that whilst all models of scooters were created equal at the factory, many of them have been modified and improved in look, feel and performance by their owners.
Over the years up to the present, so many options have been available by way of engine modifications, accessories, paint colours and schemes since the introduction of the Lambretta in 1946, it is impossible to note them all.
All of the models produced could and still can be seen represented at any particular time subject to year of manufacture whenever scooterists meet.
